Top 5 head scratching moments with the Bishop of Rome...

Top 5 head scratching moments with the Bishop of Rome...

5) He's no fan of counting rosaries, but even though why the ambiguity of giving away rosaries like remedies in the St. Peter square?

"I share with you two concerns. One is the Pelagian current that there is in the Church at this moment. There are some restorationist groups. I know some, it fell upon me to receive them in Buenos Aires. And one feels as if one goes back 60 years! Before the Council... One feels in 1940... An anecdote, just to illustrate this, it is not to laugh at it, I took it with respect, but it concerns me; when I was elected, I received a letter from one of these groups, and they said: "Your Holiness, we offer you this spiritual treasure: 3,525 rosaries." Why don't they say, 'we pray for you, we ask...', but this thing of counting... And these groups return to practices and to disciplines that I lived through - not you, because you are not old - to disciplines, to things that in that moment took place, but not now, they do not exist today..."

 Vatican city 11/17/13:
“Francis said he was recommending reciting the rosary prayer as a "spiritual medicine" that is "good for the heart."

4) Pope Francis: Church can't 'interfere' with gays... Apostle Paul made this public: "Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor practicing homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God" 1 Cor 6:9-10

(CNN) - Pope Francis said the church has the right to express its opinions but not to "interfere spiritually" in the lives of gays and lesbians, expanding on explosive comments he made in July about not judging homosexuals. In a wide-ranging interview published Thursday, the pope also said that women must play a key role in church decisions and brushed off critics who say he should be more vocal about fighting abortion and gay marriage. Moreover, if the church fails to find a "new balance" between its spiritual and political missions, the pope warned, its moral foundation will "fall like a house of cards."

3) The Church is like Mary...  the church has flaws... Say whaaaaaatttt?

Pope's Catechesis at the Wednesday General Audience. September 10th:

"The Church and the Virgin Mary are mothers, both of them; what is said of the Church can be said also of Our Lady and what is said of Our Lady can also be said of the Church!.....  Do we love the Church as we love our mothers, also taking into account her defects? All mothers have defects, we all have defects, but when we speak of our mother's defects we gloss over them, we love her as she is."

Note: The Bishop of Rome doesn't mentions Mary anymore but only on that statement mentioned above... So why mentioned flaws and Mary in the same homily.

2) Atheists who do good we'll meet there... Jesus said: "Whoever does not believe will be condemned" Mark 16:16 but it’s all good because Jesus pretended!

“In the Gospel, Jesus does not become angry, but pretends to when the disciples do not understand him,” the Pope explained, adding that at Emmaus Jesus says, “'How foolish and slow of heart." http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/pope-francis-use-intelligence-to-understand-signs-of-the-times/

If Jesus pretended then what assures us that everything that he did was also faking it, because that’s the meaning in one word about pretending: faking.

Francis: "We must meet one another doing good. ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ But do good: we will meet one another there.”

Note: Even Atheists need Jesus to get salvation, did Francis mentioned anywhere in that homily that they need Jesus?

1) “You who are Christian, with the Bible, and you who are Muslim, with the Quran" says Francis while Muslims are killing thousands of Christians and also selling Christian blood to the highest bidder.

“(The Muslims) together with us adore the One, merciful God” (Evangelii Gaudium No. 252)
Jesus and Mary receive profound veneration” (Evangelii Gaudium No. 252)

The lack of veneration for Jesus Christ is probably explained by the fact that, in the Koran, Jesus is a great prophet, famous for his miracles on behalf of a poor and sick humanity, but he is not the equal of Muhammad.
In fact, all that is said of Jesus in the Koran is the exact opposite of Christian teachings. He is not the Son of God, but a prophet and that’s it. He is not even the last of the prophets, because instead the “seal of the prophets” is Muhammad (Koran 33:40).

“The Muslims sever the necks and collect the blood in vessels to sell the blood. The Muslims believe that if they kill a Christian and wash their hands in the blood of the Christian, they will go to heaven,”

Francis: "The faith that your parents instilled in you will help you move forward," the pope told the immigrants Jan. 19 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus near Rome's central train station. "you who are Christian, with the Bible, and you who are Muslim, with the Quran."
