NOTE : When I was in seminary studying to be a priest, one day I had to speak about
the Holy Trinity to some children at school in the midst of the week of
priestly vocations, as they are three Gods in one God I took reference to 1
John 4:8 “God is love”,
this is what I said:
"Imagine one big glass Jar, full of the most delicious chocolate milk, imagine two large crystal glasses filled with the same delicious chocolate, you see, all 3 have this incredible chocolate, but the Jar always have more than the other two glasses, all 3 have the same as the Jar because that Jar gave it to them, but the Jar is still is more than the two even though they are made of the same material and they all contain the same delicious chocolate, but at the table we take the chocolate for us from the glass, we don’t pour chocolate from the Jar to our mouths, but instead the Jar gives the chocolate to the glasses. What this means is that the Jar is the Father, the two glasses are Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the chocolate is Love, this is why they are 3 in 1, so there one Holy Trinity, Father, the Son and Holy Spirit."
I know it's a little more complicated than that and it is a mystery we can’t fully understand, when we get to heaven, all will be reveal all the mysteries and we will worship God in three persons as they are ONE in LOVE.
In the beginning:
In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,
all was confusion and there was nothing on earth. The darkness covered the abyss, while the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2
God said let’s do:
God said, "Let us make man in our image and likeness. Have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the farm animals, wild animals and reptiles that crawl on the ground. " Genesis 1:26
Like one of us:
Then the LORD God said, "Now the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. They also will not draw on the Tree of Life, because eating it would live forever." Genesis 1:22
Let's go down:
Well, LET'S GO DOWN AND CONFUSE their tongue right there, so they don’t understand each other."
So the LORD scattered them over the surface of the earth, and they stopped building the city. Genesis 11:7-8
Whom shall I send:
And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for US? ' I answered, ' Here I am , send me. " Isaiah 6:8
Yahweh has anointed me:
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me! know that the Lord has anointed me. I sent a good message to the lowly, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and prisoners his return to light. Isaiah 61:1
What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth:
He entered this synagogue a man was held by an evil spirit and began to shout:
"What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you are the Holy One of God." Mark 1:23-24
Transfiguration:
Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of it: "This is MY beloved Son, listen to Him." Mark 9:7
This is my beloved Son:
Once baptized, Jesus came out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.
At the same time a voice from heaven was heard saying : "This is my Son, the Beloved; in Him I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16-17
Go and baptize:
Go therefore and make all nations my disciples. Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
Father forgive them:
Meanwhile Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. " Then the soldiers throwing them their clothes were distributed by lot . Luke 23:34
Jesus gives His Spirit to the Father:
Jesus cried and very strong, "Father, into thy hands I commend my Spirit." And having said these words , expired . Luke 23:46
He is the Son of God:
And John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and remain on Him
I did not know Him, but HE who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'He on you see the Spirit descending , and remaining on him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit."
I have seen and testified that He is the Son of God. ' John 1:32-34
The Father sent me:
You judge after the flesh; I do not judge anyone,
and if I do, my judgment is valid as it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me .
In your Law it is written that the testimony of two men is true.
They asked : " Where is your Father? '. Jesus answered, "You do not know me nor me nor my Father; if you knew me, you would know my Father." John 8:15-19
Jesus referred to the Father:
Of you have much to say, so much to judge. But He who sent me is true, and what I learned from Him is what I tell the world."
They did not understand that Jesus referred to the Father.
He said to them: ' When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am and that I do nothing of myself , but I say what the Father taught me.
The one who sent me is with me and has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases Him . ' John 8:26-29
What Jesus says:
I say what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have learned from your father. " John 8:38
I have come from God:
"If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am from Him. I have not come of myself, but He sent me. John 8:42
I honor my Father:
The Jews answered him , "Are not we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed ? ". Jesus answered:
"I 'm no demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me .
I do not seek my own glory; there’s one who seeks it, and He is the one who judges. John 8:48-50
It is my Father who glorifies me
Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, then my glory would worth nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, the same that you call "our God," John 8:54
I am the good shepherd:
I am the good shepherd: I know my sheep and my sheep know me
as the Father knows me and I know the Father and I give my life for my sheep. John 10:14-15
Jesus gives His life for His sheep:
The Father loves me because I lay down my life to get it back .
No one takes it from me , but I lay it down myself. I have the power to give it and get it back . This is the command I received from my Father" John 10:17-18
The
works that I do in my Father's name testify about me:
The Jews surrounded Him and asked , "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us openly."
Jesus answered them, "I told you, but you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name testify about me . John 10:24-25
